Subaru Loves Dogs In The Month of May​ 

​Did you know that May is National Dog Month? Did you also know that May 20th is Dog Rescue Day? Did you also know that Subaru Loves Pets? 

The month of May is a great month to celebrate our favorite pets. Our friendly companions that we take along for the ride, protect our homes, and provide love and care for us, as we do for them. It is also a great time to help give rescued dogs a healthy and happy home. There are many pets sitting at shelters across the state of Idaho and in neighboring states that could use a new lease on life.  

As part of the Love Promise, Subaru supports the ASPCA and BARK. Established in 1866, the American Society for the Prevention and Cruelty of Animals helps in efforts to rescue and protect animals. They advocate animal welfare while ensuring the health of those who have been rescued. They also facilitate the re-homing of these animals to caring new owners.  

Subaru has partnered with the ASPCA since 2008. Their partnership has helped rescue, transport, care for the well-being, and facilitate the adoption of more than 134,000 animals across the country.  

BARK produces custom products that assist in welcoming dogs to their new homes. Since 2016, Subaru has supported dog adoptions from participating pet rescues and shelters. This combined effort enables Subaru to assist in the work of the Love Promise through the Subaru Loves Pets initiative. It is why you see dogs in Subaru’s advertising. We also proudly offer dog-friendly pet accessories to ensure your pet is comfortable when riding in one of Subaru’s vehicles.
