​​Meet The New Subaru Forester Hybrid​

It wasn’t that long ago that Subaru introduced us to the all-new 2025 Forester. Now, Subaru is looking to give customers a better, more fuel-efficient Forester Hybrid. In fact, this is the first time the ultra-popular SUV has gotten its own hybrid model, and Subaru did not disappoint fans. With up to 581 miles of fuel range, exclusive Daybreak Blue Pearl paint, and the same great Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, buyers can expect everything that makes a Subaru great to be no different, but a unique powertrain that gives optimal fuel economy.  

Fuel Economy 

Even though the Forester Hybrid is just debuting, the EPA has already done their testing and says the new hybrid will achieve 35 mpg city and 34 mpg highway with 35 mpg on the combined cycle. Subaru says this is a 40% increase in miles per gallon around town and 25% more combined.  

Availability, Pricing, and Features 

The new Forester Hybrid will be available in the spring of 2025 in four different trim levels, including Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring. The Premium model starts from $36,415; the Sport is priced from $39,415; the Limited comes in at $40,830; and the top Touring trim starts at $43,115. No matter which model you choose, the Forester Hybrid comes standard with the already legendary and award-winning EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology that brings some of the industry’s best safety tech, including the ability to monitor and watch for pedestrians and bikers both front and rear. Each model will also get Emergency Stop Assist, which brings the car to a complete stop, turns on the hazard lights, unlocks the doors, and utilizes Subaru Connected Services to get in touch with emergency services in the event the driver is not responding to audible warnings from the Forester.  

The Perfect Blend of Motor and Battery 

A hybrid just isn’t a hybrid without the right motor and battery system working together to provide maximum efficiency. The latest series-parallel hybrid system that Subaru has developed combines the standard Atkinson/Miller cycle 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine together with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery that is both an electric motor generator and an electric traction motor. This helps the Forester Hybrid achieve the best power and fuel economy relationship. The combined output of the motors is 194 horsepower, a 14 horsepower increase over the standard Forester.  

Standard Tech Features 

The interior of the hybrid is highlighted by the 11.6-inch Multimedia Navigation system, which features standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster display for drivers to access all of the vehicle’s pertinent information.
