Solterra Connect Enhances Your Ownership Experience

Owning a Solterra is even more enjoyable with Solterra Connect.  This service gives you access to a suite of convenience, support, and safety services.  Some of its services utilize the Solterra Connect app, while others just add more capability within the car itself.  Let Twin Falls Subaru give you a rundown on the Soterra Connect features and services.

Remote Start

One of the many advantages of an EV is there is no need to warm up the motor.  But this being Idaho, there are plenty of times when you wouldn’t mind your vehicle’s cabin being warmed up by the time you enter.  You can do that through the Solterra smartphone app. In hot weather, you can pre-cool the car in the same way. In addition, if your Solterra is plugged in, recharging, pre-heating, or pre-cooling won’t count against your range.

Digital Key

Another part of the Solterra Connect app is the Digital Key feature which allows your smartphone to double as a vehicle key.  After initially setting up the car to recognize your phone, you can simply walk up to your locked Solterra, grasp the door handle, get in, and start the car, even if you don’t have your key with you. You don’t even have to activate the Solterra Connect app.  You can also invite up to six family members or anyone else you allow to use your car to have digital key access through their phones. 

Enhanced Roadside Assistance

You don’t use your phone for this one. Instead, when you are in need of non-emergency roadside assistance, simply press a button located above the rearview mirror.  The vehicle will automatically request help and will issue its GPS location. 

Cloud Navigation

The Cloud Navigation system allows you to use voice-activated commands or the touchscreen to search for directions or find specific businesses and other points of interest. The system will provide route options, turn-by-turn guidance, readings of live traffic, and suggested alternative routes if the traffic information isn’t to your liking. Business will come and go, but being cloud-based means the database is updated automatically and continuously.

Wi-Fi Hotspot with Integrated Streaming

With a Wi-Fi Connect subscription, the Solterra can become a Wi-Fi hotspot allowing you to connect to the world while parked.  While on the road, you can listen through your existing Apple Music and/or Amazon Music accounts while your passengers can connect to the digital world with up to five devices.

Vehicle Health Report

Through your Solterra Connect smartphone app, you can access vehicle diagnostics information, such as the remaining battery range, odometer reading, general vehicle condition, and more.
