Subaru Solterra Updates Bring Faster Charging & New Features

Subaru is constantly working on bringing the best cars to their customers, and with the constant advancements in technology and their safety equipment, it shows. The 2024 Subaru Solterra is adding faster charging and all-new features to keep customers excited for the continued electric vehicle evolution at Subaru.
Same Great Price
With a starting price of $44,995, the Solterra perfectly expresses Subaru’s dedication to continuing engineering and building great vehicles that offer exceptional value and usability. As an added bonus, customers can still qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit when purchasing their Solterra.

Battery System Upgrades
With its 72.8 kWh battery system that produces 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, the 2024 Solterra is now able to charge from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes with a Level 3 DC fast charger. Drivers can now see a state of charge indicator for the time it will take to charge to 80% and then to 100%. Subaru has tweaked the battery conditioning system to charge faster and reliably in colder climates, sometimes up to 80 minutes faster, depending on conditions. Have no fear, though, as customers can still easily use their Level 1 and 2 chargers at home. The overall range is unchanged at 228 miles for the Premium trim and 222 when you opt for the Limited and Touring models with their standard 20-inch wheels. The Solterra also features award-winning Subaru Symmetrical all-wheel drive.

Upgraded Safety
With the 2024 model, Subaru is adding an all-new Subaru EyeSight® advanced driver-assistance system allowing hands-free driving up to 25 mph, including with stop-and-go traffic. With Active Lane Change Assist, Solterra can change lanes on command, and the Front Cross-Traffic Alert system makes it even safer and easier to avoid potential accidents when pulling out into an intersection. More safety features include Blind Spot Monitors, Rear Camera Detection with Pedestrian Warning, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Lane Tracing and Road Sign Assist, and the all-new DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation System.

IIHS Top Safety Pick+
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has awarded the Subaru Solterra with their coveted Top Safety Pick+ classification, meaning it is one of the safest vehicles on the market.

Infotainment & Cargo
All Solterra models feature a driver’s information display with a 7-inch digital cluster. An 8-inch multimedia infotainment touchscreen is standard, while a 12.3-inch system is optional. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard. Cargo capacity is something buyers love about the Solterra, as it has 27.7 cu.ft. of cargo capacity with the seats up. The cargo area floor can be popped down to increase space to 29 cu.ft. The rear seats are also able to fold flat.
