Chances are, if you were asked what we sell at Twin Falls Subaru, you would reply that we sell new Subarus and used cars. That would be partially correct. We actually sell five different types of cars. Though put another way, we sell new Subarus and four different types of used cars. How are there four different types of used cars? Read on, and we will explain.

New Cars

This is the most obvious part of our business. We get new cars from Subaru and sell them to you and others in the Twin Falls area. To be specific, a new car has not been sold to or leased by any private party or any party outside of normal Subaru distribution. All aspects of the vehicle are expected to be in perfect condition, and they should have a minimum of miles, save for normal transportation and test drives. A percentage of every new Subaru sold will go to the Subaru Love Promise program.

All new Subarus are covered by the factory set of transferable warranties, which includes:

• 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty – Should any portion of the vehicle fail on its own to work as designed, it will be fixed by Twin Falls Subaru or any other Subaru dealer with no charge to the owner within 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first applies to all time/mileage terms).
• 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage – Elements included in “Powertrain include:
  • Timing belts or gears and cover
  • Intake and exhaust manifolds
  • Oil seals and gaskets
  • Water pump
  • Flywheel
  • Engine
  • Engine block and all internal parts
  • Oil pump, oil pan
  • Cylinder heads and valve trains
• 24/7 Roadside assistance – Within the warranty period, the nearest Subaru dealer will send a vehicle to assist in roadside issues. If they cannot be fixed on the spot, the vehicle will be towed back to the dealer at no charge.

Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles

Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles are recent-model pre-owned Subarus that have been traded in or lease-ended, or otherwise returned to Twin-Falls Subaru. They must be five years old or less, have under 80,000 miles, and pass a 152-point inspection conducted by Subaru technicians. Such will be our confidence in these vehicles that they will have a factory-backed 7-year/100,000 powertrain coverage (from the new-purchase date) and have the same 24/7 Roadside Assistance coverage as our new vehicles. Standard Used Vehicles

As labeled, these are used vehicles that are Subaru’s or other makes, that are too old, or too high mileage, or otherwise do not meet our CPO requirements. Like our new cars, the lowest price for the vehicle is right on the sticker. Offered on all standard used cars is a 7-day money-back guarantee, meaning if, for any reason, the vehicle turns out not to be for you, you can return it, and we will refund you the money you paid. We do stipulate that the vehicle be returned in the same condition it was purchased and have less than 300 additional miles. Beyond 7 days is our 30-day exchange policy in which you can return the vehicle in exchange for another of equal value or toward the purchase of another vehicle.

As-Is Used Vehicles

As-Is Used vehicles are often older, high mileage vehicles that have been traded in that could be described as in fair condition. It will drive off the lot safely, but there are possibly some things that do not work. These vehicles are not subject to our 7-day refund or 30-day exchange programs and will be priced accordingly.

Mechanic’s Special Used Vehicles

These are vehicles with major issues that are not worth the time and effort for our mechanics to fix. These vehicles may need to be towed from our location. As the name implies, home mechanics looking for a project or a parts car would be the best prospects for these vehicles.
