Twin Falls Subaru is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the 2027 Getaway 3-row EV SUV. Subaru recently had only one EV offering, but the Getaway will now be its 4th EV on the U.S. market. And just as the Solterra is an EV alternative to the Forester, the TrailSeeker is an EV match to the Outback, and the Uncharted is the EV counterpart to the Crosstrek, the Getaway will be the EV alternative to the Ascent.

Named for the idea of a whole family getting away for a weekend or an extended vacation, the Getaway will launch with a 95.8-kWh battery, sending power to motors between the front and rear axles for standard all-wheel drive.  The two motors combine for 420 horsepower, and the model should have approximately 300 miles of range.  Subaru has recorded 0-60 times under five seconds and rated the Getaway for a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. Later in 2027, the Getaway will be available with a smaller 77.0-kWh battery for those who take fewer long trips.  Range has not yet been determined for this model.

The Getaway is equipped with a NACS port, which enables convenient charging at over 25,000 superchargers across North America.  The charge rate is up to 150kW, which results in going from 10% to 80% state of charge in about 30 minutes.

When the pavement ends, the Getaway continues effortlessly thanks to its 8.3-inch ground clearance and the X-MODE® Dual-Mode System, which includes Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes, Grip Control, and Downhill Assist Control. An on-board battery preconditioning system comes standard, ensuring consistent charging performance in cold weather, even at 14 degrees Fahrenheit.

With a second-row bench seating three, the Getaway will seat seven. Second-row captain’s chairs offer additional second-row comfort but reduce seating capacity to six. Taking advantage of the small space required for an EV drivetrain, the Getaway can seat six-footers in all three rows, and a simple one–touch system provides access to the third row. Behind that row is 15.9 cubic feet of cargo space, increasing to 45.6 cubic feet when the third-row seats are not needed, which Subaru points out is greater than that of the Kia EV9.

Heated front seats will be standard on all models, and their use can be more efficient than increasing the cabin temperature. Heated second and third-row seats are available, as is ventilation for both the front and second-row seats.

A standard 14-inch Subaru Multimedia touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. There are two 15W wireless phone chargers up front and four USB-C ports for rear passengers. Customizable ambient lighting varies with the five available drive modes, including a customizable setting.

The 2027 Getaway will be the perfect vehicle for the family that wishes to avoid harming the environment, escape fluctuating gas prices, and still get out for some fun. The model should arrive at Twin Falls Subaru’s inventory in the fall of 2026. Prices, trims, and feature packaging information will be available closer to that time.
